Biografía

Nació en Artigas, Uruguay. Estudió Pintura, dibujo y Artes Gráficas en Brasil con los artistas Katie Van Sherpemberg, Luiz Aquila, Israel Pedrosa y Ana Maria Maiolino.

Como parte de su propuesta visual, Oscar García Da Rosa incorpora su imaginario en objetos diversos y utilitarios como camisetas, entre otros. Ha diseñado las cubiertas de producciones discográficas de distinguidos artistas de música brasileña entre los que se encuentran Carlos Malta y el Pife Muderno y más

A simple vista

To the naked eye, at first sight, there appears animals, bugs, birds, snails, capybaras, plants, flowers...

My imagery is a mixture of several images, some organic, figurative and other surreal, inviting the viewer to a journey through time and space, with the intention of creating a unique cosmogony through breaking down the perspective.

In this cosmogony you can sense the presence of the animations of the Beatles Yellow Submarine, the cartoon world, rock engravings, Maori culture and their ancient tattoos.
The pre-Columbian geometric art of the Mayans and Aztecs.

The futuristic aesthetics of the Cirque de Soleil and the delirious fantasies of the Brazilian Carnival.
And good spirit in all senses.
